Orbiq – Privacy Policy

Orbiq – Number Merge Puzzle (Android, package com.orbiq.game) by Moonbyte Labs · Effective date: 11 October 2026 · Last updated: 16 October 2026

This policy is written in English, which is the official version. The app also shows a short translated note in Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Portuguese, Korean and Turkish.

Orbiq is a relaxing number-merge puzzle game. We built it to be fun without collecting more than it needs. This policy explains, in plain words, what data the game uses, why, who can see it, how long it is kept and how you can delete it.

At a glance

1. Who we are

Orbiq is made by Moonbyte Labs (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the data described here. You can reach us at moonbytelabs.support@gmail.com.

2. Data saved on your phone

So you can continue where you left off, the game saves on your phone: your boards and scores, best score and highest orb, level stars, Stardust and power-ups, daily reward and streaks, missions, player level and XP, unlocked themes and trails, your profile (the nickname you choose, your avatar and frame), your own records (My Records) and your settings (sound, voice, music, vibration, reminders, language and time zone).

This data stays on your phone. Your language and time zone choices are never sent anywhere. Everything is removed when you uninstall the game or clear its storage. Only the data described in sections 3 to 7 ever leaves your phone.

3. Star League and nicknames

The Star League is a daily worldwide leaderboard. When you finish a Classic game, or leave one that is still running (pause, go Home or switch apps), the game sends your best score of the day. It runs on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, servers in the United States).

DataWhyWho can see it
Your in-game nicknameYour name on the boardOther players
The IDs of your chosen avatar and frame, and your player levelYour picture and level next to your nameOther players
Your best score of the day and your highest orbRankingOther players
The time of that scoreBreaking ties and showing “played 5 min ago”Other players
A random anonymous player ID (Firebase Authentication)So only you can change or delete your own dataNot shown
Your reserved nickname (in lower case), with your anonymous player ID and the times of your last two name changesEvery nickname belongs to one player, and a name can change at most twice in 7 daysNot shown (others only learn that a name is taken)

So the board is never empty after the daily reset, it shows each player's latest score from the last 7 days: if you do not play on a day, your most recent score (shown faded) stays visible to other players until you play again or it is more than 7 days old.

No email, real name, contacts or location are sent. If you are offline, scores wait on your phone and are sent automatically when you are back online. Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity is used to block fake requests and cheating; it checks that requests come from the real Orbiq app.

4. Invite friends

Every player gets a personal invite link (https://orbiq-aeb4c.web.app/i/CODE). When a friend installs Orbiq from your link, you both earn Stardust inside the game. To give the right rewards, the game stores in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, United States):

Which link installed the game is read from Google Play (Install Referrer). Rewards are Stardust inside the game only; there is no money or real-world prize.

5. Sharing your results

You can share a score, a completed level, a Daily Challenge win, your Star League rank or your best. The share image is created on your phone. You choose the app to send it with (Android share menu), or copy the text yourself. Nothing is sent to us when you share.

The image shows your score, highest orb and the result you are sharing. It shows your nickname and avatar only while “Show my name” is on (you can turn it off before sharing). The text includes your invite link, so friends who install from it count as your invites (section 4). What happens to a shared image afterwards is decided by the app you send it with and the people you send it to.

6. Google Play features

Google Play Games (optional). If you choose to connect Google Play Games, Google provides leaderboards, achievements and a cloud save of your game progress (section 2) in your Google account. Your Play Games profile name may appear on its leaderboards. You can stop using it at any time in the Google Play Games app.

Ratings and updates. The game may ask Google Play to show its rating card, and may show a Google Play update notice when a new version is available. Both screens are shown by Google Play; we never see your rating text or Google account.

These features are provided by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.

7. Ads (Google AdMob)

The game shows ads provided by Google AdMob:

To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, Google collects your phone's advertising ID, your IP address (used for approximate location), device information (model, Android version, language) and how you interact with ads. Google may use this data for personalized ads where you allowed it. This is done by Google under the Google advertising policies and the Google Privacy Policy; we do not receive this data.

Consent: in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland the game shows Google's consent form before any ad is loaded. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Shop & ads → Ad privacy choices. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your phone's settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

United States: in US states with privacy laws (for example California), sharing data with Google for personalized ads may count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out at any time in Settings → Shop & ads → Ad privacy choices (“Don't sell or share my data”); you will then see only non-personalized ads. We do not sell data in any other way.

Google's Privacy Sandbox ad features on Android (Topics and ad attribution) are turned off in Orbiq.

8. Purchases

The game sells optional one-time items (for example “Remove Ads” and a theme pack) and Stardust packs (the in-game currency). Purchases are made and paid through Google Play; we never see your card or payment details. The list of items you own is saved on your phone and Google Play restores it on a new phone (Settings → Shop & ads → Restore purchases). Firebase Analytics records that a purchase happened (which item, its price and currency) so we know which items players like. Stardust can also be earned by playing and from rewarded ads. Stardust packs are used up once bought, so Google Play does not restore them on a new phone; your Stardust balance is part of your game data. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.

9. Analytics and crash reports

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to learn which parts of the game people enjoy and to fix crashes.

ServiceWhat is collectedWhy
Firebase AnalyticsGame events with numbers only (for example: game started, game over with score and highest orb, level finished, power-up used, mission completed), an app instance ID, and basic device information (model, Android version, language, approximate country from the network).Improve game balance and features
Firebase CrashlyticsCrash reports: technical error details, device model, Android version, app version and an installation ID.Find and fix crashes

For Firebase, collection of the advertising ID and ad personalization signals is turned off. Analytics and crash data are not linked to your identity, not shared with advertisers and never used for advertising.

10. Reminders, sales and news

If you allow notifications, the game shows at most one reminder a day about the game (Daily Challenge, missions or your streak). Reminders are created on your phone, are not sent from a server, never contain ads, and can be turned off in the game's Settings or in your phone's settings.

We may also send occasional messages about Orbiq itself, such as a sale in the game's shop, a new feature or an event, through Firebase Cloud Messaging. To deliver them, Firebase gives your copy of the game a random messaging token, and the game joins the message groups for all players and for the language you use in the game. No name, email or other personal information is used. These messages are only about Orbiq, never contain ads from others, and can be turned off with “Sales & news” in the game's Settings or in your phone's notification settings.

11. Permissions

The game does not ask for access to your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or location.

12. Service providers

We use only Google services, which process data for us under their terms: Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Authentication, App Check, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Hosting for invite links) Google Play (Play Games, Install Referrer, ratings and updates, billing) and Google AdMob (ads and the consent form). Firebase data is stored in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country. Google protects such transfers with safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Learn more in Privacy and Security in Firebase. We do not sell or rent data to anyone.

13. How long data is kept

DataKept
Game progress on your phoneUntil you uninstall the game or clear its storage
Star League scores, reserved nickname, invite dataUntil you delete it (section 15)
AnalyticsUp to 14 months (Firebase default), then deleted automatically
Crash reports90 days, then deleted automatically
Phone ID hashes (invite fraud prevention)Kept so a reinstall is never counted as new; they cannot identify you

14. Security

All online data is sent encrypted (HTTPS). Strict server rules allow each player to change or delete only their own data, accept only valid scores and keep everything else closed. Firebase App Check helps make sure requests come from the real app. No method of storage or transfer is perfectly secure, but we use these protections to keep your data safe.

15. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to receive a copy of it, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email us; we answer within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for using your rights.

Legal bases (EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you think we have not handled your data correctly, please email us first. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

16. Children

Orbiq is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the online features, email us and we will delete that data.

17. Changes to this policy

If the game changes how it uses data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
